He
Hears It All!
Philippians 2:14
God said through the apostle Paul, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Philippians 2:14). Dr. David Lane defined a murmur as the filing of a compliant to the wrong person, for the wrong reason, and at the wrong time. There are many conditions Christians may want to launch a gripe about, but from a spiritual perspective none are justified. Some do not like this and others do not like that, therefore they file oppositional complaints, simultaneously contaminating the minds of many. God wants His children to understand that life should be lived without complaining and disputing.
How easy and carnal it is to turn to your neighbor and voice a non-cooperative spirit. If there is a complaint or a problem, the Bible commands Christians to address one another privately (Matthew 18:15). God made you and therefore He hears everything. The Bible makes it clear that Christians will be judged for every idle word spoken (Matthew 12:36). This includes the unheard murmurs, mumbled under the breath. Your husband, wife, preacher, friend, mother, or father may not have heard, but God did. Generally the noncompliant are riddled with murmurs. People who have difficulty following scriptural leadership murmur. People who lack self-esteem and confidence murmur. People who do not understand God murmur.
