The Biggest Heist
1 Peter 5:8
“Italian immigrant Vincenzo Perugia
was up to no good when he went to work on August 20, 1911, at the Louvre,
one of the world's best-known museums in Paris. That Sunday night after his
shift, Vincenzo hid in a room within the museum throughout the night. At some
point in the late evening or early morning hours Vincenzo snuck out of the
room, so as not to disturb the guards and gently walked to the area where
one of the museum's most-prized possessions, the Mona Lisa, hung on
the wall. Vincenzo mustered
all his courage, gently removed the painting from its hooks, discarded the
frame and walked away with the painting under his smock. Somehow, he managed
to escape detection and when he walked out of the museum he walked into history
books as the person who pulled of one the biggest art heists of the century.” There have been many heists over
the ages, yet the devil is currently constructing the biggest heist ever seen
or witnessed. The cost of this heist will not come at the expense of lost
gold bricks, precious diamonds, the Mona Lisa, or millions of dollars in cash.
The cost will be eternally lost souls, never to be re-united with God again. Someone once said, “They never saw me coming.”
That is the way Satan will pull of his tremendous feat of stealing souls,
reducing them to everlasting damnation. Notice the passages below and refrain
from becoming a spiritual heist victim. You may not see him coming but the
Bible states, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour…”
(
Some will become disillusioned, “And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie…” (2
Thessalonians 2:11). Through it all, the devil will work his heist
in the very presence of his victims. The victims of Satan will become the
promoters of his madness, without them knowing who there true employer is.
Paul describes the actions, mentality, and disposition in Romans: “And changed the glory of the uncorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted
beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness
through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between
themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served
the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this
cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change
the natural use into that which is against nature” (Romans 1:23-26).
Many heists have
been successfully plotted and executed. Please note that the devils job is
to subliminally subvert your soul out of the hands of Christ. Remember, You are the Clay In The
Potter’s Hands. God has paved
a way to save you today!
