Psychologists tell us that we are born
with two fears: The fear of falling and the fear of noise. However,
we soon develop many more fears: (1) The fear commanded & the2)
The fear forbidden. The latter is the kind of fear that
involves respect, honor, reverence, and a sense of awe. Thus, we are
to fear God. |

of Christians: "Why does Mommy and Daddy do that?" |
Ephesians
5:1 & 6:1-3 |
Nursery |
Age 4-9 |
We will start with the basics: Helping the children understand
with the Bible, song book/ songs sang in worship and other aspects of
worship. Children have questions all the time and if they develop a
level of understanding around what Mom and Dad do this would promote
children to inquire about the Word. We will continue with
what is expected of children with parents in the Church. How to grow
when you are raised in the Church. Games, songs and role play will be
used to help the children to stay interested and understand better. |

Colossians
and Philemon: The Pre-eminence of Christ |
Colossians
1:18
|
Upstairs
Classroom #3 |
Course
completion of Christianity 101, 201, & 301 |
These epistles are tied together because of the
people who are involved. In the book of Colossians we find Philemon
to be an important and influential member of the congregation at Colossae.
The epistle of Philemon is a short, personal correspondence to Philemon
from the apostle Paul. This letter to Philemon will address an attitude
that is essential to all Christians and at the same time extends, to
all who read it, an exceptional insight into the providential working
of God in the affairs of mankind and especially towards those who are
his elect. When the
precepts of these two books are combined you receive an extraordinary
view of how the Christian is justified: how the Christian should live.
And it will reveal some of the ways God moves providentially to “work
all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according
to His purpose (Romans 8:28). |
